Mindset

Embrace Your Vision.

Your vision is yours. Not in a poster way, in a real way. And the whole game is following it while you cut out everything that is not it.

Every thought that lands in your head got put there by what you have been through and the person who walked out the other side. That is what makes it yours. Nobody else has your exact set of reasons for wanting the thing you want. So stop waiting for someone to hand you the right way to start. The best way is to listen to that one small pull you already feel and follow it, even when everything around you says otherwise.

Most of the world stays the same. A dollar is a dollar. Talking is talking. Walking is walking. The thing that actually moves is you. What you take out of each situation, what you decide it meant, where you point next. Once you really see that, the whole thing gets lighter.

A lot of people I listen to call this priming. Same idea as priming an engine right before it turns over. Your mind needs the same thing, and it has to be a daily habit, not something you do once when you feel motivated. Here is why. Your brain is lazy on purpose. Left alone it drops back to the old wiring it was built on, the stuff that kept people alive a long time ago. Watching for threats. Sizing up status. Chasing whatever is new and entertaining. That wiring is not the enemy. It is just old, and it will run your whole day if you do not get in front of it.

Say you want to be a famous singer. The dream is one line. The skills are a long list. The actual singing, holding your nerve in front of a lot of people, being fine with strangers talking about you, leading a team, being comfortable being wrong in public. Priming for that is learning the industry, performing on no sleep, and most of all spending real time alone figuring out who you are, because that is the part that makes the music relatable enough for anyone to care. And all of it starts with one thing. The thought. You wanting it is the seed. The reps come after.

Getting a six pack means the gym and eating right, several days a week, for a long enough stretch. That is the whole thing. The noise is everything else. Your own head saying you cannot do it, that it will take too long, that you are tired. The twinkies sitting in the aisle on the way out. What counts as noise depends completely on your vision. The whole road to the thing you want is cutting out the noise. Remove the noise and the reality just becomes.

Key takeaways

01

Claim it as yours

Your reasons for wanting this are not the same as anyone else's. That is the whole advantage. Stop waiting for permission to start.

02

Prime daily

Get in front of your own brain before the old wiring runs your day. A few minutes, every day, not once when you happen to feel motivated.

03

Name your noise

The doubt, the timeline, the tiredness, the twinkies in the aisle. Noise is anything that is not your vision. Learn to spot it fast.

04

Follow the pull

That one small pull you already feel is the signal. Follow it even when everything around you says otherwise.
